I Timothy 6:6-8 English Standard Version One of the most intriguing aspects of the recent election cycle was the level of discontent expressed by my friends and acquaintances. In fact, if one chooses to believe the pundits, one of the major reasons President Trump won was a nationwide feeling of dissatisfaction with the direction of our nation. I find this quite interesting as this feeling is in direct opposition to almost any metric you choose to use. Unemployment is down. Wages are up. Crime is down. The stock market has been on a long-term good run. Border crossings by undocumented workers are down. We’re not at war. The manufacturing sector is enjoying growth.
